More Weekend Pictures
by Joel in Noah
Not too many yet, but here are four more pictures. In the first, Noah is looking at a mirror in the bottom of the toy (apologies to Dad for cutting him off in the picture).

There are more to post, but here are four to start.

Noah’s First Hockey Game
by Joel in Noah
We took Noah to a Portland Pirates game last night for his first hockey game. He generally understood what he was watching, but if you ask him, he will tell you that they play on snow. Which is close. Noah’s favorite part of the game was finding the pirate and parrot mascots who were walking around the building. We managed to catch up with both mascots during the 2nd intermission:

Noah was a little afraid of the pirate once he was close to him, but Talia convinced Noah that he was a friendly pirate.
We stayed for most of the game, but had to leave with about 8 minutes left in the third and the game tied 1-1 because it was getting late. The Pirates lost 2-1 in overtime.

Noah Playing with a Plane and Tools
by Joel in Noah
Here are some pictures of Noah playing with his toys. The first picture shows the plane that was missing in yesterday’s pictures.

Noah also played with some of his construction tools:

The hard hat kept sliding down over his eyes:

He was either painting or sweeping in this picture:

At one point Noah started grabbing all the toys and holding them:

We have talked about how to wear this type of hat, but he likes it this way:

Noah at the Boston Children’s Museum
by Joel in Noah
We took Noah to Boston on Sunday to visit the Boston Children’s Museum with Scott and Julie. Noah, of course, enjoyed the museum.

This is a picture of Noah on a floor with lights in it. Depending on what program was running, the floor lit up where you walked or played an interactive game. Noah liked it either way.

Indoor rock climbing:

Playing at home with the remote-control toy plane that does work, you just need to find the power switch (the plane is not in the pictures, but it was there).

Noah Playing with Blocks and a Truck
by Joel in Noah
Here are some pictures from last night. We managed to play with blocks without emptying the entire tub on the floor, which I consider a victory (Noah thought we should empty it).

I believe this expression was accompanied by “Ohhh noooooo!” in response to the blocks falling over (as Noah pushed them over):

Noah Helping Talia with Pictures
by Joel in Noah
Today we have a few pictures of Noah while he was helping Talia collect pictures for future collages. The process was to get a picture from Talia then bring it to me and tell me what was in the picture (sometimes with help). The last two pictures are from when he was bringing pictures to me. I like the two pictures enough to post them but they could definitely be better (from a technical standpoint).
Update: Noah only needed help with new words when identifying what was in the pictures. He already knew a lot of the items.

Waiting for the next picture:

Noah and the Circus Train
by Joel in Noah
Here are pictures of Noah with his guitar, playing baseball and playing with one of my old toys.

Here he is in the middle of a swing. It’s difficult to know if his eyes were on the ball because we were playing imaginary baseball. I assume his eyes were on the ball.

Noah noticed the Circus Train last night but it was too late to play. It didn’t take long to find it this morning.

Baking with Noah (and Talia)
by Joel in Noah
Noah helped Talia bake cookies last night and I was fortunate enough to get the assignment to take pictures (although I don’t remember taking the pictures at the end, so I guess I need to give Talia some of the paycheck if it ever arrives).
Noah did a very good job getting flour, sifting and generally keeping the whole operation moving in a more or less forward direction.

Noah eventually decided that he had enough of the flour and it was time to move on, and didn’t someone say something about a new Elmo DVD? Perhaps this would be a good time to look into that.

After being convinced that more flour was needed, Noah made sure that Talia’s knee was properly floured:

The magic of the sifter:

A much better angle:

Finally enjoying the result of his hard work:
