We took Noah to a Portland Pirates game last night for his first hockey game. He generally understood what he was watching, but if you ask him, he will tell you that they play on snow. Which is close. Noah’s favorite part of the game was finding the pirate and parrot mascots who were walking around the building. We managed to catch up with both mascots during the 2nd intermission:

Noah was a little afraid of the pirate once he was close to him, but Talia convinced Noah that he was a friendly pirate.

We stayed for most of the game, but had to leave with about 8 minutes left in the third and the game tied 1-1 because it was getting late. The Pirates lost 2-1 in overtime.
